Health Measures for Ski Dance Weekend 2024
The health and safety of our guests, participants and the Hulbert staff are a priority.
At Ski Dance Weekend 2024 the following health measures will be in place due to the current status of the pandemic. All participants are required to comply with these health measures. Any additional revisions will be made in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and federal, state, and local requirements.
The purpose of requiring compliance with these Health Measures is to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 and other communicable respiratory viruses like RSV, influenza and cold viruses. The nature and outcome of our event is determined by the actions of participants. We anticipate all attendees share our goal in reducing these risks.
Vaccinations
For your personal health and consistent with CDC guidelines, it is recommended that participants at Ski Dance Weekend 2024 are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Participants at Ski Dance Weekend 2024 will not be required to show proof of vaccination at check-in.
Pre-Event Testing
We have decided to require all participants take a COVID-19 test no more than 24 hours prior to the start of the weekend event and provide results of the test to the organizers (Barb/Tom) via email or text message. Results of the test should be scanned and sent to Barb/Tom via email at info@skidance.us or via text to 612-789-0777 or 401-286-9860 prior to travel.
If the results of your COVID-19 antigen test are positive, you will not be able to participate at Ski Dance Weekend 2024. We will provide a refund if you have a positive COVID-19 test result (see our refund policy on the website). Please contact Barb/Tom immediately at info@skidance.us or by phone @ 612-789-0777 or 401-286-9860.
Testing via a rapid antigen test kit approved by FDA /CDC is acceptable and test kits can be purchased at your local pharmacy. Test kits may also be ordered from the CDC website (free of charge) and delivered to your mailing address. We ordered test kits last week and they were delivered within 5 days (no delivery fees).
Please let Barb/Tom know in advance via email (info@skidance.us) if you are unable to find a COVID-19 test kit. We will arrange to test you when you check-in at the registration desk.
Sickness
If you are sick with a respiratory infection do not come to Ski Dance Weekend, even if you have a negative COVID-19 test result because there are other respiratory diseases (RSV, influenza, cold virus) that are currently spreading in communities.
Post-Event Testing
If a participant develops symptoms after the event (within 5 days), we ask the participant to take a rapid COVID-19 test and report results to the organizers (Barb/Tom) via email ( info@skidance.us). This will allow us to provide notification of possible exposure to all participants.
Air Travel
Consistent with CDC recommendations, participants who travel to the event via public transportation are required to wear an appropriate mask (N95/KN95) during their travels.
Masks
Wearing a mask is Optional at Ski Dance Weekend 2024.
Participants may wear masks based on their comfort level and personal risk assessment. Please respect individual choices made by participants.
N95/KN95 masks that are properly fitted and tightly covering the nose and mouth are recommended for any participant choosing to wear a mask during Ski Dance Weekend. Participants should provide their own masks that comply with current guidelines.
Lodging
In 2022, to support distancing we limited the occupancy for onsite cabins to 2 persons per room, with exceptions made for families or special requests. In order to support the anticipated number of guests in 2024 we will return to our normal occupancy that may have 3 or 4 persons per room. As always we invite you to let us know your preferred roommates when you submit your registration. There are also offsite lodging options should you prefer not to share a room with other participants.
Meals
In 2022, there were no specific distancing measures implemented and the same is anticipated for this year.
Additional Measures
We have invested in two automatic temperature sensors and there will be hand sanitizers available that we request everyone use upon entry into the main hall.
We will have a limited number of rapid antigen test kits available during the event if a participant develops symptoms or potentially has been exposed to someone with COVID-19. If the rapid test is positive, the participant will be asked to quarantine, wear a mask and discontinue participation in group activities. If medical assistance is needed, Dartmouth Medical Center is located nearby in Hanover, NH
As the event date approaches we may modify this policy to include additional measures such as a daily check-in with temperature monitoring and a questionaire to screen for symptoms.
